Questions & Answers
These employers are all hiring! Please bring a resume if you have one. If you don't have one, stop by Career Services for help during Drop-In Hours, Monday - Friday, 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. in Central High Room 206
Even if you're busy or in class, you can still connect with the employers who are coming on campus. Log in to your Handshake account with your Central Piedmont username and password and to learn more about each company and apply for jobs.
These employers know that you're a busy college student, so they don't expect you to dress up. Business casual is always a safe way to make a great first impression, but there are no requirements to dress a certain way. If you want to dress to impress, make sure to check out the Professional Clothing Closet and get some free outfits!
Most employers who come to Work-it-Wednesdays want to meet you and talk about how good a fit their company and position might be for you. They will likely show you how to apply and may even schedule an interview for later.
We agree that meeting employers for the first time can be a little nerve-wracking. Luckily, Career Services is here to help! Stop by the Career Center during Drop-In Hours, Monday-Friday, 10 a.m. - 1 p.m., in Central High room 206 to talk to a career counselor and get tips for having that first conversation with an employer. Don't stress, we're here to help!
Want to schedule an appointment instead? Login to your Handshake account with your Central Piedmont username and password. Career counselors are available to meet on every campus and virtually!
If you need an accommodation(s) in order to participate in a student-related meeting or event, email Disability and Access Services (disability.counselingservices@cpcc.edu) at least 48 hours prior to the event to discuss how we can best accommodate you.
