Questions & Answers
Yes! Please bring at least 1 resume so that an employer can provide feedback.
If you don't have a resume but would like to participate, stop by Career Services for help during Drop-In Hours, Monday - Friday, 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. in Central High Room 206 or make an appointment on Handshake.
These employers know that you're a busy college student, so they don't expect you to dress up. Business casual is always a safe way to make a great first impression, but there are no requirements to dress a certain way. If you want to dress to impress, make sure to check out the Professional Clothing Closet and get some free outfits!
While it is unlikely you will get a job offer during the resume review, we still recommend treating this as a networking opportunity. Make a great impression by asking the employer questions about their company and even dressing in business casual clothes.
We agree that meeting employers for the first time can be a little nerve-wracking. Luckily, Career Services is here to help! Stop by the Career Center during Drop-In Hours, Monday-Friday, 10 a.m. - 1 p.m., in Central High room 206 to talk to a career counselor and get tips for having that first conversation with an employer. Don't stress, we're here to help!
Want to schedule an appointment instead? Login to your Handshake account with your Central Piedmont username and password. Career counselors are available to meet on every campus and virtually!
If you need an accommodation(s) in order to participate in a student-related meeting or event, email Disability and Access Services (disability.counselingservices@cpcc.edu) at least 48 hours prior to the event to discuss how we can best accommodate you.
