Event Details

We have scheduled a tour of the Charlotte Douglas International Airport and Airfield. This is event only for students enrolled in the NextGen Program. Please use your personal email (not student email) to register.

• Learn about CLT airport facts, operations, and departments
• Engage with aviation professionals and learned about the education, daily work, job history and career path 
• Tour the airfield and see airplane boarding and luggage loading areas, passenger gates, runway operations, maintenance hangar, cargo and meal preparation facilities, and more
• Learn about training and employment opportunities various departments including driving, HVAC, logistics, operations, electrical, conveyor bridge maintenance and more

• What are the security requirements?

All guest names will be run against the No-Fly list, and then IDs will be checked before we board the bus. All participants are subject to a security check, which includes screening against the Department of Homeland Security’s No-Fly List. 

• What is an acceptable ID?

An unexpired valid government-issued photo ID, such as a driver’s license, passport or military identification.

• What can’t I bring with me?

Groups cannot bring large bags or purses.

• What can I bring with me?

Cameras are allowed during the event.

 We will be required to send a list of interested students together prior to the tour so they can be vetted by the airport.
