Description
Looking for a Medical Assisting or CNA position? The Medical Assisting and CNA programs are hosting an employer meet and greet with companies in the Charlotte Metro area. There will be opportunities for a wide variety of programs as well. This event is open to Medical Assisting and CNA students, as well as students who are interested in joining these programs.

Get Ready to Succeed!
- Learn About the Employers - Research the companies you’re interested in meeting. Check them out on Handshake, review their websites, and pay attention to their mission statements and any recent news.
- Polish Your Resume - Tailor your resume by highlighting skills and keywords from internship or job descriptions. Print multiple copies to bring with you to the event.
- Practice Your Introduction - Prepare a brief elevator pitch to introduce yourself, showcase your skills and experiences, and express your interest in the company and its opportunities.
- Dress to Impress - Make a great first impression! Need professional clothes? Visit the Professional Clothing Closet for free business attire.

There are no formal requirements for how to dress; if you are coming from clinicals or classes, it is okay to wear your scrubs. If you are looking for appropriate business attire, make a shopping appointment with the Professional Clothing Closet.
We agree that meeting employers for the first time can be a little nerve-wracking. Luckily, Career Services is here to help! Stop by the Career Center during Drop-In Hours, Monday-Friday, 10 a.m. - 1 p.m., in Central High room 206 to talk to a career counselor and get tips for having that first conversation with an employer. Don't stress, we're here to help!

Most employers will want to meet you and talk about how good a fit their company and position might be for you. They will likely show you how to apply and may even schedule an interview for later.
